Detroit — This summer, Yolanda Massey strategies to move her enterprise Hooked on Guides Childcare from a home-primarily based operation in Redford to a 1,500-sq.-foot making in Detroit.

On Monday, she came to the Detroit Suggests Enterprise Summit at the Roostertail to network and learn how to develop her clientele as she helps make the transition.

Massey is among the the 400 organization proprietors who attended the inaugural summit Monday for Detroit Suggests Company, a general public-private coalition of 60 corporations that formed in Might 2020 in reaction to an outcry for guidance throughout the pandemic from the tiny business enterprise neighborhood.

“The pandemic created this urgent need to have,” stated Danielle Parker, spokeswoman for the Detroit Financial Expansion Corporation, which operates the method.
